The Control Room Operator will be responsible for the scheduling of security officers, monitoring check calls, responding to telephone and email queries and a variety of administration duties. This will include but not limited to, compliance, statutory, contractual and company regulations and processes. The control room operator will ensure exemplary standards of security and customer service are always provided to the clients and sites.

TGS Security Specialists require Mobile Patrol Security Officers to work within an existing security team supporting our prestigious contracts and clients. Applicants should be experienced team players over the age of 25, reliable and quick-thinking, confident, motivated and reliable with strong attention to detail and ownership qualities. Applicants must be in possession of a Full UK Driving licence (Manual), clean with no penalty points, held for over 1 year. An opportunity for;

This individual who has the ability to work on their own initiative whilst adhering to company policy and procedures as part of our office-based customer service role managed through a dedicated control room.

You will be required to liaise with our own security teams, joint service partners and clients in the field. A key part of this role will be responding to alarm calls, dealing with and managing requests and tasks directed through the control room.

You will need to have excellent verbal, written and IT communication skills.

You must have experience of controlling and responding to a variety of scenarios as and when they arise whilst de-escalating and managing incidents in accordance with company operating procedures.

Applicants must be able to think and act quickly in order to achieve the best outcome in any given situation. Common sense is vital along with a calm and methodical approach.

Duties will include but are not limited to;

  • Liaise on a daily basis with staff, clients and operational management teams;
  • Support the fulfilment of the contracted/business objectives, through the range of duty assignments which will involve security and support duties;
  • Working as part of a team to provide conflict resolution at client premises where there is potential for conflict;
  • Ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ buildings and assets by carrying out all duties in full adherence with the site assignment instructions;
  • Conduct patrols of sites to ensure safety of building, staff and visitors.
  • Write detailed and accurate daily reports & incident reports.
  • This role is hands-on and will require involvement in issues on an hourly/daily basis.

Working Hours / Shift patterns;

  • 24/7 12 hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off basis (0600-1800 1800-0600)

Main essential requirements;

  • Valid clean driving licence (held for a minimum 1 year)
  • A Valid SIA front line security licence (A valid SIA CCTV licence advantageous)
